ANS refurbs Hulme tech campus for 700 staff and opens door to local community

New ANS Fusion campus open to community

Private equity backed digital hosting company ANS has invested a ‘significant multi-million-pound’ sum in refurbishing its 40,496sq ft tech campus space at 1 Archway, Hulme.

ANS has named the office Fusion following an employee competition and the site will accommodate 700 employees to support hybrid and flexible working.

The fit out includes disabled access and hearing loops built into the design and refurbishment, led by Stockport-based commercial contracting specialist TMT, which ANS said has created a space that will “serve as a vibrant hub for collaborative working spaces, providing its employees, customers, local businesses, and communities access to innovate.”

Community groups and charity partners will be able to book spaces, as well as well-being and educational programmes.

A supporter of local charities Manchester Children’s Hospital and the Hide Out Youth Zone ANS is also donating laptops to enhance digital literacy and provide access to technology for those in need.

The site also features Susan’s Bar – a social and recreational space with classrooms for ANS’s Training Academy and the Apprentice Academy, which has seen 250 individuals graduate to date.

Private equity investor Inflexion brought together its investments in ANS and UK Fast into one entity in 2021, in a £200m deal.

Richard Thompson, chief executive of ANS, said: “We exist to make technology accessible for all organisations, large or small. Our vision is to create a tech movement that empowers individuals, businesses, and communities to reach their full potential through technology. We’ve built a first-class space for our people here.  This new campus is the epitome of what we stand for and is the space where we bring our values to life: eyes on the customer, to stretch the possible, be all in, give a damn, get it done and be you.”

Thompson added: “We’re creating something really special here and the local community, the tech community and our customers play a huge part in that.”
