Charlotte Sherrocks

Altrincham-based care home operator, New Care, has appointed Charlotte Sherrocks to the role of home manager at its recently-opened 70-bedGrappenhall Manor care centre on Stockport Road in Grappenhall, Warrington.

In her new role as manager, Charlotte takes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home. Working with her team of 80 nurses and carers, she will implement personalised care plans for each of the home’s residents.

Charlotte has worked in healthcare for more than 30 years and has been qualified as a nurse for 27 years. She also holds many relevant industry qualifications including BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care Practice and a Diploma in Health Studies (R.N.) both from Edge Hill University in Liverpool.

She said: “I aim to work with the wonderful team here at Grappenhall Manor to achieve full occupancy and deliver optimum care for our fast growing family of residents along with peace of mind for their families.”

Chief operating officer, Cath Fairhurst, said: “Having worked with Charlotte previously, I’m confident that Grappenhall Manor will flourish under her direction and with her warm and friendly management style.”

Stuart Andrews

Nick Cowles

Nick Cowles and Stuart Andrews are to take over as co-chief executives of Manchester-based investment bank Zeus with immediate effect, replacing Tony Scawthorn.

Chairman, Sir Nigel Knowles said, “Together, Nick and Stuart give Zeus the perfect combination to provide the leadership and drive to take the business to the next level and enable Zeus to continue as a leading adviser in the market.”

Nick Cowles started his career at Zeus over 19 years ago and has been an executive board member since 2021. Nick has played a central role in many of the firm’s high profile successes over recent years and jointly leads the investment banking team.

Stuart Andrews joined Zeus in 2022 having worked in financial services, especially within growing broking firms including 11 years at Evolution as an Investment Banking Director and, prior to joining Zeus, he spent 10 years at finnCap where he was an Executive Board member of the PLC group.

Josh Hellawell

North West planning consultancy PWA Planning has promoted senior planner Josh Hellawell to the role of associate.

Josh, who joined the firm in 2016 as an assistant planner, works across sectors including housing, sports stadia, and commercial development, and has advised clients like Seddon Homes, Huddersfield Town FC, Fort Vale Engineering, Community Gateway Association, Northern Trust and FDC Holdings.

He has also gained specialist knowledge of the renewable energy sector as part of PWA’s Energy Planning division, which is seeing growing demand as the UK’s energy transition continues to gather pace. His promotion will see him leading a team of planners working to secure permission for projects across the UK.

Alan Linter

Digital transformation and customer experience specialists, FourNet, has appointed Capita’s former director of innovation, Alan Linter, as the technology firm’s new group consulting director.

Alan Linter joins after nearly 20 years at Capita where, as the company’s highly regarded director of innovations and solutions, he led a team of innovation leads and solutions directors delivering successful digital transformation outcomes for some of the biggest global brands.

Linter broke new ground for the international business process outsourcing and professional services company in 2020 by delivering the first Open AI-based Conversational AI solution, and real-time AI-powered agent assist technology a year later.

FourNet is a privately-owned technology company and has recently created a new sector-leading CX function.

Chief executive, Richard Pennington, said: “Alan Linter’s expertise and background speaks for itself. He is one of the most highly regarded leaders in the industry. He’s worked across almost every sector and helped to deliver CX transformation for some of the biggest brands around. Gary Tennant, Millie Stephenson, Lora McKenzie, Holly Kitchin, Alex Salehi

Four new recruits have moved into the hospitality and catering industry to join the customer service team at a spa resort on the shores of Windermere.

Millie Stephenson from Kendal, Katie Oston from Burton-in-Kendal, Lora McKenzie from Windermere and Holly Kitchin from Lancaster make up the new team members working as spa co-ordinators at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa.

Holly studied at Lancaster and Morecambe College to attain her Level 2 qualification as air cabin crew and has also trained as a barista.

Katie has a BA Hons degree in Community, Social Work: Policy and Practice and was working in childcare at a local nursery before joining the spa. Lora joins the hotel team having completed her studies at Newcastle University.

Millie’s previous work experience has included working at festivals and events. This is her first role since finishing her studies at Manchester University.

The new starters have been joined by Kerry Park, Alex Salehi and Lucy Barron who have all made internal moves within the hotel to become spa co-ordinators and complete the team recruitment to meet the increasing demand for spa services at the hotel.

Jen Crowther and Patrick Hackett

Altrincham-based legal attraction, retention and recruitment consultancy. Realm Recruit. has welcomed two new consultants to its specialist team and expanded its presence across the regions.

Patrick Hackett joins as a consultant specialising in the recruitment of family lawyers. He previously worked for another legal recruitment business, specialising in locum and permanent recruitment in the Midlands.

Jen Crowther also joins as a consultant, specialising in the recruitment of private client and Court of Protection lawyers. As a recruiter, she has experience working with law firms ranging from high street and boutique practices to magic circle and US firms. Jen has a Masters degree in International Events Management.

While Realm was established in Manchester and has, thus far, operated primarily across the North West and Yorkshire, Patrick and Jen will work exclusively with law firms and lawyers in Birmingham and the Midlands.

Karen Hain and Lindsey Shepherd

MHA Moore and Smalley has added a new partner to its North West audit team with the appointment of Lindsey Shepherd.

Lindsey will be based at MHA Moore and Smalley’s Manchester office, supporting clients across the North West.

She joins the company from DJH Mitten Clarke where she started in 2020 as a director to initially establish and lead an office in Manchester.

Prior to joining DJH Mitten Clarke, Lindsey spent the majority of her career at Azets, where she joined as a graduate of the University of Salford. There she progressed to director, working across the Bolton and Manchester offices and specialised in advising legal firms.

In addition to her expertise in legal clients, she also has strong experience across a range of sectors including haulage, manufacturing, leisure and construction businesses.

Lindsey’s appointment takes the number of partners at the firm to 28 and her role at MHA Moore and Smalley will assist with the continued growth of the Manchester office.
