Charlotte Worthington

Sandyford Properties, the multi-let industrial property company, has appointed Charlotte Worthington as asset manager.

Charlotte will work directly with managing director, Paul Brindley, managing the 1.5 million sq ft portfolio of predominately multi-let industrial space in the North West and Midlands.

Charlotte was formerly assistant asset manager at Peel L&P and, before that, a graduate surveyor at Mason Owen.

She obtained a law degree from the University of Law in Manchester and a Master’s in real estate and property management from the University of Salford.

Paul Brindley said: “Charlotte is a talented individual who will play a key role in supporting our team in its ambitious growth plan.”

Matthew Pilling

Liverpool property company, The Momentum Group, has further strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Matthew Pilling to its facilities management business as director.

Matthew will further develop Momentum Maintain’s operational excellence to help meet the group’s ambitious five-year growth plan. This will include implementing sustainable facilities management practices and establishing best in class efficiency through the implementation of sector-leading innovation.

Matthew joins from GeoBear Global where he was managing director for residential. Previous roles include at BNP Paribas, Incentive FM, Cloudfm and at Engie where he led on the US Airforce FM contract for all nine of their UK bases and at Capita where he headed up its portfolio of more than 250 London properties.

Momentum’s previous head of facilities management, associate director, Karl Clawley, takes up a new role, overseeing the management of Momentum Contribute, covering issues such as sustainability, client care, and corporate social responsibility and leading on the group’s charitable efforts via the Momentum Foundation.

Gill Hillier

Claritas Tax, with bases in Manchester, Birmingham, and Nottingham, has recruited Gill Hillier as a business development manager.

Joining as part of the wider Claritas business development team, Gill will be working alongside Mat Worrall, senior business development manager and will be responsible for the growth and development of the company’s strategy within the North West. Gill has more than 15 years of valuable experience in business development and operations management. Working predominantly within the finance industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role.

Gill said: “Claritas has really blown me away in terms of its people and culture. After meeting both Iain and Matt and learning more about the company ethos, there was no question in me wanting to become a part of that.”

Harriett Busby

Financial and accountancy recruitment consultancy, Axon Moore, has announced three promotions across its Manchester and Lancashire teams as well an additional new hire.

Harriett Busby and Marcus Pratt have been promoted to associated director, alongside Tim Braddock as senior executive researcher. Harriett, leads the transactional and part-qualified team in Manchester placing candidates from graduate level all the way up to management accountant. Alongside managing a team of three, Harriett has excelled over the course of 22/23 bringing in significant new clients and roles alike.

Marcus, is part of the NW temp team, specialising in interim qualified accountancy positions across Lancashire and Manchester. Since moving into the temp team in 2022, Marcus has played a pivotal role in the significant growth and development of Axon Moore’s temp team which has seen more than 70% growth in fees over the past year.

Tim Braddock has been promoted to senior executive researcher. Part of the Axon Moore executive search team, Tim coordinates with entrepreneurial, privately owned, private equity backed and listed growth businesses to support them with their key executive and non-executive appointments.

Alongside these promotions, Lorna Dukka has also joined the Manchester team. Joining from recruitment consultancy Pulse, Lorna’s focus is on the interim NW transactional finance and part-qualified markets.

Chris Coates

Chris Coates is the latest PR person to join the distribution team, of PR Fire.

Hw brings with him more than five years of PR agency experience in professional services and healthcare sector clients.

As well as his PR experience, Chris is a trained journalist and holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Journalism from the University of Sheffield.

The business said Chris fits right in with its team of PR and journalism staff and is ready to generate fantastic results.

Tom Embleton

Lesniak Swann, a B2B marketing and PR agency, has expanded its PR team with the appointment of Tom Embleton as senior PR account manager.

Tom brings with him seven years’ experience managing PR accounts for a global B2B agency in Manchester, where he developed award-winning PR campaigns across engineering, construction, and the food and beverage sectors. His key achievements include increasing the share of voice for global clients including Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure, and Ingredion.

Managing director, Alex Swann, said: “We extend a warm welcome to Tom, who is a pivotal addition to our team. His industry experience and understanding of the sectors that our clients operate in will play a critical role in building their success through the delivery of results driven campaigns.”

Tom will be working on some of the agency’s key accounts, including Finning UK & Ireland, where he will take the lead on managing PR for the energy and transportation division, and Mammoet, the heavy lifting and engineering logistics expert.

An expanded senior leadership team has been unveiled at MC Construction as the buoyant firm heads for a record year.

Turnover for the Salford-based business is on track to reach £22m for the 12 months to September, an increase of almost 50% on last year’s figure of £15m.

The company has promoted Jason Houghton from commercial manager to commercial director and Karl McDonald from contracts manager to operations manager. The duo, along with human resources and business services manager, Sophie Houghton, have now joined the senior leadership team which includes managing director Russ Forshaw, pre-construction director Chris Purcell and finance director Gary Glendenning.

Russ said: “Jason has made a significant difference to the business since he joined us three years ago and fully deserves his promotion. Karl and Sophie joined us as apprentices and have progressed through the ranks and increased their levels of responsibility to the stage where we are now delighted to appoint them to the senior leadership team.”
