Cheshire-based solicitors, SAS Daniels, has secured a coveted ranking for Private Wealth Law in the prestigious Chambers High Net Worth Directory 2023.

The rankings within the directory, delivered by independent legal research company Chambers and Partners, are the definitive mark of excellence for those advising on private wealth matters.

SAS Daniels was awarded the position in recognition of its Private Client team’s provision of ‘proactive and cohesive strategies for the benefit of clients’. Led by partner and business owner Justine Clowes, the team is 16-strong and covers all aspects of wills, trusts and wealth planning, alongside estate administration and probate.

Jeremy Orrell, chief executive and business owner at SAS Daniels, said: “We are honoured to retain our position within the directory and to receive such high profile recognition for our Private Client team from an industry-leading standard – it’s an achievement to be included.”

Founded in 1989, Chambers and Partners delivers detailed rankings and insights into the world’s top lawyers, legal departments and law firms. Chambers High Net Worth differentiates the best professional advisers for international private wealth by identifying and ranking law firms, lawyers and a range of other professional advisers globally.

SAS Daniels has offices in Stockport, Chester, Macclesfield and Congleton.

Three solicitors at Chester law firm Aaron & Partners have also been ranked among the very best in the region.

The firm’s Wills, Trusts and Tax team has been highlighted in the High Net Worth Legal Guide, securing Band 1 status – the highest accolade possible.

Clive Pointon

Clive Pointon, head of the Wills, Trusts and Tax team, was also the only solicitor to achieve a Band 1 ranking in the category, and continues his streak of consecutive years of securing the much coveted status.

The law firm also retained Band 1 status in the Private Wealth Disputes (North West) category.

James Wallace, a partner at the firm who leads the Contentious Trusts and Probate team, was again recognised with Band 1 status in this category and is one of only three solicitors in the North West to earn the Band 1 Ranking. Vlad Macdonald-Munteanu, a senior associate in the Contested Wills, Trusts and Estates team, was also highlighted as an ‘Associate to watch’.

Collectively, the team was described as having “incredible depth of knowledge, with exceptional analysis, evidence gathering and strategic approach,” on top of being “very professional and efficient”.

Clive Pointon said: “We’ve been regularly recognised in this prestigious publication in recent years, but we’re delighted to have secured such a strong accolade again this year.

“Rankings like this are important to us as they further validate the good work our team are doing each and every day. I’m very proud of our achievement.”
