Rebecca Ferris is the latest recruit at Carlisle-based law firm, Wragg Mark-Bell, taking on the role of operations manager in July, a position previously held by managing director, Nick Kennon.
Previously working for another city solicitors’ firm for nine years in a similar role, Rebecca has a background in estate agency as a negotiator, valuer and branch manager, and then in various staff management roles.
Rebecca will be supporting the staff and senior management team and said: “I’m looking for internal staff development and opportunities for the team.
“When I’m recruiting I look for someone who has that spark – the desire to progress. That’s how you develop good staff.”

Adam Nabozy
Following an intensive selection process, intellectual property firm Appleyard Lees has appointed Adam Nabozny as chief executive.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in professional services having held various leadership roles within a range of client-focused legal businesses.
Adam said: “To join such a prestigious and leading firm of professionals is an absolute privilege. I am very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues, across all our locations.”
Adam will take responsibility for all operational areas of the business, collaborating with the partners to advance a firm strategy that fuels further growth.

Pauline Carrera-Silva
Independent property and land agency, H&H Land & Estates, has appointed Pauline Carrera-Silva to the position of residential lettings manager.
Pauline joins with 20 years’ experience in lettings management at managerial level. Based at the company’s Borderway office in Carlisle, she will take responsibility for the management and development of the H&H Land & Estates lettings team, and support the directors in identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion.
Alongside her role as lettings manager, she will also continue to represent the professional body, Propertymark, as the regional executive for Lancashire and Cumbria.

David Rainford and Damian Ainsley
North West based specialist funding provider, PMJ Capital, has appointed Damian Ainsley as investment director.
Damian, who joins the Bolton-based funding provider from Tatton Investment Management, will be working with investment advisors to secure private market investment opportunities in the property sector for high-net worth individuals across the country.
PMJ provides property funding loans for SME developers and entrepreneurs with facilities from £26,000 to £2m. The investment arm will enable high net worth individuals to enjoy high yield investments through a range of options.
Damian’s appointment comes just weeks after Keiran Holmes also joined the team as relationship manager, bringing to total headcount in the team to eight.
Damian said: “I’m really proud to be joining the business at a time of huge growth and to be given the opportunity to develop a more defined investment structure for the business.”

The MSB Solicitors team
Liverpool-based MSB Solicitors is expanding its team.
Natalie Jackson has been appointed as head of people and is charged with ensuring the firm continues to be an employer of choice within the region.
As a seasoned HR specialist and a Charter Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, her expertise includes crafting engaging employee experiences and implementing wellbeing strategies.
Steven Milne has joined as head of IT. MSB said it is poised to amplify its legal prowess by strengthening its tech infrastructure.
The firm is also celebrating the promotion of four team members across various departments. Andrew Fairman now takes on the role of partner, while Amy Tagoe and Dan Pierce are newly-appointed senior associates. Helen Schofield will also be stepping into an associate position.
MSB has also recently hired 17 paralegals, and has taken on nine new trainees. Three of its current trainees have also recently qualified.
