Aviation expert upsizes with shift to Stockport town centre

An aviation expert has expanded with a move from its original Macclesfield base to Stockport town centre.

AeroCloud, the intelligent airport management platform was set up in 2019.

It has chosen Orbit Developments’ first fitted CAT A+ space in Stockport as its new UK head office. Highbank House provides a fitted and furnished 4,500 sq ft modern working environment.

The office has a mix of collaborative areas, feature town hall tiered seating, bespoke Dave Draws doodle wall, high end fitted break-out space, exposed services and room for a growing team of around 50 staff.

The refurbishment was carried out by local contractor, Egan Reid, earlier this year and items such as new LED pendant linear lighting, shower and cycle facilities all contributed to the workspace securing an A rated EPC, acknowledging the building’s shift to a greener approach.

Rhys Owen, leasing director at Orbit, said: “The majority of the larger lettings we’ve completed in Stockport Town Centre over the last 12 to 18 months have been with tech companies.

“It’s clear the enviable transport links and lower costs than Manchester are key factors in attracting growing companies such as AeroCloud. But it’s important that colleagues have the facilities away from the office to engage and interact and Stockport’s burgeoning town centre, with the growing bars, restaurants and entertainment options, delivers on that front, too.”

He added: “Events like Foodie Friday, Art Battle, Krazy Races and SK1 Street Party all add to the experience once the working day is over, whilst the growing restaurant scene caters for client engagements.”
