Cumbrian specialist systems integrator, Delkia, has welcomed five new starters, linked to its rapid growth this year.

The business provides design, build and qualification solutions, along with consultancy services, for mission-critical industries in the aerospace, clean energy and maritime sectors.

To support this, it has welcomed Janette Baldwin (Principal Engineer), Lauren Chatt (Graduate Safety Engineer), Mitchell Ratcliffe (Avionics System Engineer), Phillip Neath (TSL Technology and Capability Integration Engineer), and, earlier this year, Jean Page (Principal Human Factors Consultant).

Chris Lavery

CPC has appointed a new partner, Chris Lavery, to help drive opportunities across the North West in private and public sectors for transport, education, housing, commercial, healthcare and science & technology.

Chris has more than 30 years’ experience in the project management industry holding senior positions including executive and non-executive level for RPS, Your Housing Group, George Osborne’s Northern Powerhouse Partnership, KBR, Mouchel and Hornagold and Hills.

He has held managing director positions for joint ventures with Liverpool City Council, Knowsley MBC and Rochdale Council.

With a Master in Project Management and member of CIOB, Chris has led major, ‘ground-breaking’ projects due to their scale, innovative funding approaches and transformational nature, and hosted a ‘Building Sustainably’ Podcast Series in 2022 with RPS.

The Harris Partnership has announced a series of senior promotions as the architectural practice continues its growth.

In recognition of their ongoing valuable contribution to the business, Iain Church, Ian Perrell, Russell O’Donoghue and Sarah Charlesworth are now directors of parent company, The Harris Group.

Other key figures across the group have also been recognised with Mark Hendy promoted to director of the successful Harris Project Management business.

In the Manchester office, Sarah Rhodes is now design director at The Harris Partnership and Marisa Rigby has been promoted to associate in Harris Project Management, further strengthening the group’s presence in the North West market.

Jonathan Wrynne has been made associate in The Harris Partnership’s London office following a sustained period of expansion in the capital.

Social housing builder, MCI Developments, a subsidiary of top 10 UK homebuilder Keepmoat, has unveiled three new hires.

Dean Harrison has joined as technical director where he will focus on maintaining and developing strong relationships with strategic partners across the North West, growing the development pipeline and strengthening the technical team.

He brings 28 years’ experience within the construction industry and has worked at well known housing developers including Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Homes, and David Wilson Homes. Most recently, Dean was divisional technical director for the North West region at Gleeson Developments.

MCI has also welcomed Ashley Anderson as assistant land and partnerships manager and Ryan Dodd as a development engineer. Ashley will support the team to acquire new land and grow the existing pipeline of developments, while securing registered provider partners for the delivery of these sites. Ryan will progress new and existing developments from start to finish, working collaboratively with all statutory bodies and assisting site teams across all developments.

Dean said: “I am thrilled to join a business that is dedicated to delivering long term improvements for local communities.”

New AON team members

Aon, the global professional services firm, is welcoming new talent to its office in Manchester with the arrival of three recent graduates and one placement year student, who will commence their careers with the company.

The four new joiners are based within the retirement consulting division and represent Aon’s commitment to inspiring and developing the next generation of inclusive leaders. The firm’s Early Careers Programmes provide meaningful work experience opportunities and the chance to enhance professional skills through on-the-job experience.

National law firm, Stephensons, has appointed four newly qualified solicitors to its teams in Wigan and Manchester following the successful completion of their training contracts.

In Wigan, Charlotte Brain joins the firm’s discrimination team, Terri Li joins Stephensons’ employment team, while Holly Duncanson joins the firm’s commercial property team. In Manchester, Benjamin Armstrong joins the firms’ family law department. All four solicitors qualified within the past few months.

Louise Griffiths, partner and trainee principal at Stephensons, welcomed the new recruits, saying: “All have demonstrated commitment, professionalism and resilience throughout their traineeship.

“Stephensons invests a great deal in training and development with many of our trainees going on to have hugely successful legal careers with the firm. I wish all four solicitors continued success for the future.”
