THG’s in-house GP service for staff receives CQC accreditation

THG has sites in Manchester and Warrington

Manchester-based online proprietary technology platform, THG, has received CQC (Care Quality Commission) accreditation for in-house GP services offered to its employees.

The services comprise personalised and virtual assistance for THG staff.

The CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, responsible for ensuring medical practices meet specific quality and safety standards for wellbeing services.

THG’s in-house doctor service has recently been certified to manage the regulated activity of diagnostic and screening procedures and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. This is inclusive of both physical and mental health services conducted by THG’s in-house doctor, Dr Ishrat Ahmed, and CBT therapist, Rifa Ahmad.

THG said it believes in providing convenient access to quality wellbeing services and in fostering a healthy, safe and caring environment for employees. Employees at THG can expect a consistent standard of wellbeing services, focusing on long term health, preventative care and overall wellbeing.

The group said it proudly stands as a pioneer in the UK by being one of the few corporations to offer in-house wellbeing services and an in-house GP exclusively for its staff located at the group’s offices in Manchester.

Dr Ishrat Ahmed said: “This registration, which will be reviewed regularly, demonstrates our commitment to delivering safe and high quality care and we are enthusiastic about sustaining this level of service for our THG employees.

“Our utmost priority is to safeguard the wellbeing of our employees, the people and the entire group by upholding compassionate, educational and accessible standards of care.”
