Law firm, JMW Solicitors, is on track to hit its £80m turnover target for the year after reporting a nine per cent increase in revenues for the six month period.

The firm, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool and London, achieved revenues of £39.7m in the period from May to October, with a £7.4m profit, up from £7.1m previously.

The firm confirmed every staff member will be awarded a Christmas bonus.

Head count has also increased by four per cent, with some significant lateral hires.

This year the firm received its highest number of listings in the prestigious legal directories The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

In November of last year a new management team took over the running of JMW, comprising Marc Yaffe as Managing Partner, Warren Martin as Senior Partner and Chris Sutton as CEO.

Marc Yaffe said: “JMW’s growth is largely organic – we don’t focus on acquisitions or mergers, preferring to add partners individually and build teams around them – so it is very pleasing to see such a strong performance for the first six months of this financial year.

“Our client base continues to grow, and we’re making strong progress on the execution of our business strategy as well as being on track with all our major milestones.”

He added: “We also continue to recognise talent internally – for example, having spotted that Daniel Neild, a member of our post room team, had both a real appetite and ability for creating animations, we moved him to our Marketing team, where he now supports them, the firm and its clients with his creative flair.

“All of our three offices continue to thrive, and we could not be prouder of our people.

“Our continued success is down to their hard work, talent and dedication, so we have made the decision to reward them once again with a bonus this Christmas.”
