Glossop mill developer fails

THE developer behind a mill conversion near Glossop has gone into administration.
Balfour Homes (Chisworth) was building 56 apartments and town houses around the old Kinderlee Mill at Chisworth, Derbyshire.
Nigel Price and Paul Stanley of the accountancy firm Begbies Traynor were appointed as joint administrators last month.
Mr Price said his team was currently assessing the site but it is likely that the scheme will be completed by the end of the year.
A spokesman for Begbies said trade creditors were owed around £31,000 and the company had no employees at the date of administration.
The business is a subsidiary of Holmes Chapel-based Balfour Homes, which went into administration in 2008.
