Distribution depot extension enables further North West growth for discount retailer

An extension to Liverpool discount retailer B&M’s Runcorn depot has been completed by European logistics real estate specialist, Logicor.

The 112,000 sq ft extension will support the growth of the retailer’s North West operations.

The distribution centre now offers 455,000 sq ft of premium space which incorporates new yards, new loading provisions and an additional 32 HGV parking spaces.

Completed last month, Logicor’s new Runcorn warehouse delivers high quality space with great connectivity to the national motorway network and the North West region in particular.

The refurbishment delivers a renewed focus on sustainability with a 10% improvement on the site’s emission rate.

LED lighting has been installed with occupancy sensors and daylight controls to ensure that energy is used efficiently and only when needed, as well as EV charging points across the site.

B&M was able to remain on site throughout the construction period by occupying the original warehouse.
