First glimpse of 1,187-home Square Gardens development

A show apartment has given an indication of what is on offer at new £400m Manchester co-living development, Square Gardens, close to First Street in the city centre.

The show apartment is located in Acer Tower at Square Gardens, which will bring 1,187 new rental homes when it opens in autumn 2024.

New images of the site include a sneak preview inside the Acer apartments, showcasing both a shared three-bed apartment and a studio apartment.

Interior designers on the project, KKA, has drawn inspiration from the extensive green space at Square Gardens. Its interiors embrace biophilic design by utilising a neutral colour pallet throughout the rooms and shared spaces.

Acer residents will be able to choose from a range of accommodation options, from shared three-five bed co-living apartments, studios and one-bed apartments – all fully furnished with one monthly rental fee that includes all utility bills, super-fast wifi, 24-7 onsite management team and the benefits of extensive shared amenities and services.

Facilities at Square Gardens include a state-of-the-art gym and wellness centre, social lounges, co-working spaces and the largest private outdoor gardens and terraces in the city centre.

Residents can also take advantage of an events programme to connect neighbours and build the community. There is also a bookable dining room for residents to hire for entertaining guests.

The Fernley will open at Square Gardens in March 2025, bringing a further 585 new rental apartments including 18 luxury penthouse-style apartments.

KKA has led on the interior design at Square Gardens.
