Nicola Forshaw has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Eccles-based Northern Healthcare, an independent provider of supported living services.

Paul Callander, non-executive director at Northern Healthcare, said: “Nicola brings with her a wealth of experience in the social care sector and a proven track record of excellence in service delivery and organisational growth. Her leadership, extensive experience, and profound dedication to our sector are unmistakably evident through the pivotal roles she has undertaken.”

Nicola joins with more than 25 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and a proven history of excellence in service delivery and organisational growth.

She joined Lifeways Community Care in 2013 as Operations Director, advancing to Managing Director and subsequently Chief Operating Officer, which saw her support more than 4,400 individuals, while managing a large team of 8,000 operational colleagues.

Nicola said: “I have spent my career in Health and Social Care, and I know first hand the real difference our teams can make to the people we support and provide care for. I will use that experience to lead and support our business through our next exciting chapter and the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Olivia Huyton

Altrincham-based specialist Chartered Surveyor, Proximity, has further strengthened its team, appointing Richard Jones as Rights of Light Surveyor and Olivia Huyton as Admin Assistant.

Richard joins the growing business following roles with Alpha Light and Deloitte Real Estate, while Olivia joins from law firm Birchall Blackburn where she supported the Private Client team.

Dr Sayani Sainudeen

Transform Healthcare has appointed Dr. Sayani Sainudeen as its new CEO and unveiled ambitious expansion plans that will underpin the business’s growth strategy.

Dr Sainudeen, a medical doctor, and a qualified GP, takes on the role of CEO from Tony Veverka, who will retain involvement in the strategic direction of Transform in an advisory role as CEO and director of Transform’s parent company, Y1Capital.

Rochdale-based Transform’s expansion forms part of a wider strategy to continue supporting its long standing NHS partnerships, expand its direct-to-consumer services via the Transform brand, and grow its healthcare facilities provision, which the business offers through its Electiva brand. Electiva was launched in 2022 to enable other medical and wellbeing providers the opportunity to base their private practice at existing facilities.

Professional Liverpool has appointed Mark Borzomato as Sector Lead of its Corporate Finance Group.

The Corporate Finance Group provides a platform to connect member organisations across multiple sectors including accounting and advisory firms, banks, law firms, private equity investors and enterprises.

Mark, CEO of Liverpool-based fund manager, River Capital, brings with him more than 25 years’ experience in the Liverpool Corporate Finance community which is complemented by his roles as a member of the Liverpool Chamber Business Policy Committee and an Investment Committee member at early-stage innovation investor, Lyva Labs.

Working closely with new Professional Liverpool Chief Executive, Phil Adams, a key focus of Mark’s appointment will be to foster greater unity between the professional services sector and other regional stakeholders operating in Liverpool’s corporate finance ecosystem.

Phil Adams said: “We are thrilled to welcome Mark as Sector Lead of our Corporate Finance Group at this exciting time for both Professional Liverpool and the city’s professional service sector.”

Khadija Toppa and Ryan Conlon

RPG Chartered Accountants has welcomed Ryan Conlon as Head of Tax.

Ryan, who is a Chartered Tax Adviser, was previously Tax Director at Trident Tax and will now lead Manchester-based RPG’s specialist tax team.

Managing director, Jonathan Brownson, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Ryan to our team. Tax is the lynchpin for both our business and personal clients, so it is essential for us to continue to grow our strength in this area.”

Ryan said: “I am look forward to working with the team to further develop the breadth and depth of the tax services that we can offer to clients.”

Also joining RPG’s tax team is Khadija Toppa as Personal Tax Assistant. She joins RPG after working at another firm of chartered accountants in Manchester.

Mr Brownson said: “Khadija is another great addition to our team and will help build our strength still further in personal tax.”

These appointments take RPG’s team numbers up to 90 at their offices in Manchester and St Asaph with more staff planned to join the firm in the coming weeks.

Wendy Catterall and Mark Traynor

North West law firm, Harrison Drury, has expanded its corporate team in Manchester with the appointment of senior associate solicitor, Wendy Catterall.

Wendy, who joins from Knights, will advise clients on a range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance matters.

She has significant experience acting on behalf of buyers, sellers, management teams and private equity funds.

Mark Traynor, partner and head of the corporate team at Harrison Drury, said: “As we continue to grow our team in Manchester, it’s important that we strengthen our service offering across core specialist areas.
