Legal 500 firm, Butcher & Barlow, has made strategic leadership changes within its Agriculture and Rural Affairs team.

Mike Bracegirdle, a Partner at Bury-based Butcher & Barlow with more than 40 years of experience, will be transitioning from his role as the head of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs team to focus on business development for the Agricultural and Rural Affairs, Commercial Property and Commercial departments.

Mike will remain an integral part of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs department, taking on a consultancy and advisory role to support the wider team, and will continue to be a point of contact for both new and existing clients.

He said: “After a decade of serving the firm and heading the Agriculture and Rural Affairs team, it is now the opportune moment for me to make a strategic shift towards business development.”

Rebecca Jepson, who has been with Butcher & Barlow for 10 years, will now head up the Agriculture and Rural Affairs team. Rebecca specialises in Commercial and Agricultural Property and business transactions, providing expert counsel to property developers, landed estates, farmers, and SMEs.

She said: “I am honoured to lead the Agriculture and Rural Affairs team at Butcher & Barlow and build upon the strong foundations laid by Mike.”

Taylor Farrimond

Following its launch into the UK flex sector, Koba, a new flexible workspace company, has appointed Taylor Farrimond as Head of Operations.

Taylor joins Koba from Industrious where he was Head of Operations for the EU & UK, managing all operational aspects of 12 locations and leading teams across six European cities.

Koba recently announced its first UK venture at AEW’s 100 Barbirolli Square in Manchester city centre, which has undergone a £30m investment programme.

With works commencing in Manchester and Koba set to unveil its second location in the forthcoming weeks, Taylor’s appointment will support the company’s ambitions to open three to four sites per year in outstanding commercial buildings in the UK’s major cities.

Managing director, Paul Nellist, said: “Taylor joins the business at a pivotal time as we prepare to commence works in Manchester on Koba @ 100 Barbirolli Square and unveil our next UK location. Having extensive experience of overseeing multiple UK and EU flex locations, in addition to the drive and dynamism to create positive change, Taylor was the ideal fit for this strategic role.”

Richard Bone

Stockport-based cash and carry group, Parfetts, has appointed Richard Bone as commercial director. He joins the business from Unitas where he was finance director for more than three years.

Richard will join the board, to support the commercial development within Parfetts stated growth plans of a £1bn turnover and 2,000 symbol store estate.

He said: “Parfetts employee-owned model appealed to me because it allows the business to invest back into better serving its customers and supporting its staff.”

Richard Kelly

Muse, the nationwide placemaker, has appointed Richard Kelly as Project Director in the North West. Richard will support the delivery of major town centre regeneration across the North West.

With more than 20 years’ industry experience, Richard joins the Salford-based team from Zerum. As project lead, Richard recently supported the delivery of the landmark £400m St Michael’s regeneration in Manchester city centre.

Jo Hassey and Bobby Head

New Care has strengthened its management team at Wilmslow Manor, on Handforth Road, with the appointment of Jo Hassey as Deputy Manager and Bobby Head as Head of Care, respectively.

Previously a clinical nurse, Jo has achieved several accreditations during her care career, including RGN, DlpSin and V300 Nurse Prescriber.

Bobby will not only support residents, but also the staff, helping to create a positive environment within the home.

Dawn Collett, Commissioning Director at Altrincham-based New Care, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jo and Bobby to Wilmslow Manor and are delighted they have joined the home manager to form a strong management team at the home.”

Part of the McGoff Group, New Care is a care home provider. Wilmslow Manor is a 63 bed care facility located on Handforth Road in Wilmslow.

Detectronic, a provider of wastewater management solutions, has appointed Rob Button as Service Delivery Director.

In this role, Rob will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of complex projects, managing the project management team, and ensuring the efficient execution of field service operations.
