Sue Craven transitions Parkhouse Bell to employee ownership

Parkhouse Bell, the global executive talent research firm acquired by the founders five years ago, has transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company.

The approval, led by the current owners, Sue Craven (Executive Chair), Matthew Mellor (CEO) and Kirsty Young (Director) marks a strategic move towards reinforcing the company’s ethos of empowerment and independence.

The leadership trio first worked together at Armstrong Craven, which was recently acquired out of an administration process by WhiteCrow.

There will be no alterations to the company’s management framework or daily operations, and all three Directors are remaining with the 24 strong business based in Sale, Greater Manchester.

The conversion to employee ownership will have only positive outcomes for Parkhouse Bell’s clients, employees and stakeholders, say the leadership team.

Sue Craven, Executive Chair of Parkhouse Bell and Co-Founder, said: “We take immense pride in delivering world class talent outcomes on behalf of our clients and we can only do that through a world class team. This transition reaffirms our commitment to quality, innovation and excellence that will address our clients’ evolving needs for years to come.”

Parkhouse Bell CEO, Matthew Mellor, said: “Employee Ownership will allow colleagues to have increased influence on how the business evolves, as well as ensuring that they benefit financially from the EO mechanism and an additional EMI scheme in which every colleague has a stake.”

With employees across the globe, including the Americas, China, Middle East, APAC and Europe, Parkhouse Bell is a leading executive talent research firm with a reputation for high-quality research, digital innovation and outstanding client service to global clients including BP, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Schneider Electric, Anglo American, Coca Cola Helenic Bottling and Cencora

“Employee ownership is the natural evolution for Parkhouse Bell,” said Kirsty Young. “The transition underscores our organisational values and allows us to keep being us; independently minded, brave and with an appetite to keep moving the dial on behalf of our colleagues and clients”.
