Banking duo set up new finance brokerage in Manchester
Two former bankers, Tom Bamber and Jack Poxon, have set up a new commercial
finance brokerage, targeting borrowers who have funding requirements greater than £1m.
Based in Manchester, Graphene Commercial Finance aims to support development and investment
projects throughout the UK in the commercial and residential sectors.
The business will also assist trading businesses needing to access commercial mortgages and cashflow support, sourcing funding from high street banks, challenger banks, debt funds, and private lenders for its clients.
The duo have extensive experience working with publicly listed, corporate and SME trading businesses, as well as in financing commercial and residential assets, purpose-built student accommodation, and other development projects.
Bamber has over 10 years of experience in the corporate and commercial space, having worked at
Barclays, and Santander, before joining 2XL Commercial Finance as a Director.
Poxon started his career at Lloyds Banking Group, before working at Cynergy Bank as Relationship Director.
Bamber commented: “Graphene is a bespoke and value-add funding advice business, founded by
two passionate and experienced former bankers, seeking to establish itself as a prominent partner
within the UK’s second city.
“Having operated as a broker in this space for the last five years, I’m delighted to join Jack in
providing our clients with an expert and tailored advisory service.”
Poxon added: “Graphene is the start of an exciting partnership, leveraging our banking backgrounds
to service the region’s property groups and trading businesses.
“By ensuring borrowers have access to the most appropriate funding solutions, on the best possible
terms, we look forward to establishing ourselves in the regional marketplace as we continue to
support the growth of our client base.”
