First view of new venture by recruitment entrepreneur Jo Sellick

Recruitment entrepreneur Jo Sellick has made the first steps towards building his next business venture, MJS.
He said the consultancy has a mission to ‘make a difference’ and will offer services to businesses in their recruitment processes, but also providing consultancy and non – executive director advisory services to entrepreneurs and founders who want to scale and grow their businesses.
He will also advise business owners on preparing a business for sale, marketing, valuing, negotiation and completion, internal and external risk and opportunity evaluation.
Sellick, founder of the Sellick Partnership, sold the business to French business services group Samsic in 2019, but stayed on to manage the transition, before leaving earlier this year.
He told TheBusinessDesk.com: “Businesses and organisations face huge challenges currently at such pace and diversity.
“I’ve always loved building businesses and the challenge of navigating all the different aspects to create real value for clients, candidates, employees and of course the leaders and owners too.
“Also I love working with smart people and seeing a real impact.
“MJS is the perfect way to combine these things and allow me to share my knowledge and experience with other leaders and help develop their businesses. I’m still young and have plenty of ambition and this is a great next step and I hope I can make a real difference.
“And of course recruitment is the sector I’ve made my name in and the one I know best so it’s natural to start there, but I’m open to advising any business where I think I can make a difference.”
He opened up about his own challenges and his search for purpose, following the sale.
