Warrington-based British Engineering Services Group has acquired access solutions specialist, UbiQ Group, for an undisclosed sum.

UbiQ Group, founded in 2018 and based in Stoke-on-Trent, is an expert in  access solutions for those working at height or in challenging settings.

With a team of around 20, UbiQ operates nationally with major clients in a variety of sectors including highways, railways, civil engineering and energy, and has also worked on projects at the stadiums of Premier League football clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.

Bolton-based KBS Corporate advised on the deal, overseen by Nathan Leah, KBS Corporate Associate Director, which resulted in UbiQ joining BES Group’s Infrastructure Division, enhancing its suite of end-to-end risk management solutions.

Jamie Holland, UbiQ Group Director, said: “We are extremely excited to become part of a business that focuses on the same things we do and has done for many years.

“Continuing to provide our customers with the same level of service is our ongoing priority and we are now looking forward to doing this with the support of BES Group.”

John Campbell, BES Group CEO, said: “We would like to extend a very warm welcome to the UbiQ team and we are extremely pleased to have them on board.

“They bring with them a range of impressive skills that will really support the wider BES Group.”

Nathan Leah said: “It was a pleasure to work with Jamie Holland and Stuart Alcock (UbiQ directors) throughout the KBS project.

“They have built an excellent business which showed consistent growth and

development from its foundation.

“BES Group was the perfect acquirer, in reality, and showed keen interest from our first engagement. It was a pleasure to work with them also.”

He added: “A special thanks, as always, to Guvvy Sandhu and Harriet Jones of Mackrell Solicitors for their continued support, diligence and collaboration.”
