Jobs lost as food processing machinery firm enters administration
A North West company which manufactures and exports food processing machinery across the world has been placed into administration, with the loss of all six jobs.
Stephen Berry and Jason Greenhalgh, of Begbies Traynor in Liverpool, were appointed as Joint Administrators of DanTech UK Limited on August 27.
The company was incorporated more than 20 yeas ago and its equipment is installed in factories all over the world including China, USA, South Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Europe.
Burscough-based Dan Tech employed six people and turnover, according to its latest set of accounts, was £1,384,523.
It also operated a base in Thetford, Norfolk, in a modern 15,000 sq ft factory and warehouse.
The business ceased to trade prior to Begbies becoming appointed.
Stephen Berry, partner at Begbies Traynor in Liverpool, said: “I can confirm that we have been appointed as Joint Administrators of DanTech UK Limited to protect the position of the creditors.
“The business has been hard hit by challenging economic conditions, not just here in the UK but in the multiple international markets in which it operates.
“A sale of its assets, primarily consisting of food processing machinery, is under way.”
