New brand for data-driven business aimed at Rainmakers market

Market Mapping, an M&A deal origination services provider which works with private equity investors is changing its name to Origin IQ, to reflect an enhanced focus on data-driven solutions.

As part of the rebranding, the company has launched a new website, logo, and visual identity that better align with its commitment to innovation and excellence in deal sourcing.

The shift to Origin IQ signals a broader vision to harness its advanced data analytics and proprietary processes, to help acquisitive companies and investment professionals create more actionable acquisition opportunities.

“The transition from Market Mapping to Origin IQ is representative of how our platform has evolved since inception” said David Edwards, MD of Origin IQ.

“The rebrand reflects our commitment to combining data-driven insights and our own exhaustive origination processes for M&A dealmakers, reinforcing our vision of becoming the most trusted partner for sourcing acquisition targets globally. As Origin IQ, we are better equipped to address the complexities of today’s deal origination process with smarter, more accurate and impactful deal sourcing capabilities.”

Steve Crossley, Chairman of Origin IQ added: “This is an exciting time for the business as we embark on our next phase.  We have scaled in recent years and are proud to work with a range of global and local private equity houses, enterprise level corporate acquirers and SMEs. We look forward to continuing our journey under the Origin IQ brand.”

In a detailed interview on the Rainmakers platform Edwards shares his thoughts on the development of “the art and science that goes into deal sourcing” and the likely impact of AI on the whole way in which deals are done.
