Tax specialist to open new office in city centre as part of wider expansion plans

No.1 Spinningfields

Tax consultancy practice, CBTax, is to open a new office at No.1 Spinningfields, a prime asset managed by Schroders Capital, in Manchester.

The expansion, facilitated by property agents OBI, represents a significant step in the Northamptonshire-based company’s growth within the UK, it said.

The firm will occupy 5,436 sq ft on the 13th floor under a 10-year lease, with a break option after five years, at a rate of £42.50 per sq ft.

Rob Prescott, Asset Manager at Schroders Capital, welcomed CB Tax, saying: “Their letting further underscores the attractiveness of actively managed, prime assets and reinforces the team’s commitment to providing exceptional occupier experience.

“Our goal is not just to generate income, but also to support evolving business needs by delivering a premium experience for occupiers and guests. We welcome CBTax’s move as a testament to our commitment to innovation, occupier satisfaction, and sustainability.”

Chris Beale and Stephen Beale, founders of CBTax, said: “We’re incredibly excited about CBTax’s expansion into Manchester. We cannot wait to speak with the incredibly talented people who live in and around the city and add them to our already experienced and hard-working team.”

Andrew Cowell, of OBI, said: “No.1 Spinningfields remains one of Manchester’s best buildings and most prestigious business addresses, and we had a huge amount of interest in the 13th floor and we are really pleased to have completed a deal with CBTax for their new Manchester office.

“CBTax are looking to quickly scale in Manchester, and I am sure that No.1 Spinningfields will be a great asset in attracting the best talent to their business.”

CBTax’s office in Manchester, along with its recent expansion into Dublin, highlights its ongoing efforts to grow its presence across the UK and Ireland, it said.
