Blackburn-based telecoms services provider, Claritel, has acquired IT firm, J2 Technology, for an undisclosed sum.

This strategic move is set to significantly enhance Claritel’s service offerings and accelerate its growth trajectory.

Founded in May 2011, by Jay Motorwala, Claritel says it will experience 30% growth following the acquisition of the Burnley-based business.

Jay Motorwala said: “This acquisition is a big step for Claritel. It allows us to provide our customers with a complete suite of IT services, under the banner Claritel.

“Our acquisition of J2 Technology, specifically Adam Robinson, who I have known since 2019, strengthens our team and enhances our capabilities.”

He added: “ Adam brings almost four decades of industry experience to the team, and I am excited to have him join us.”

Adam Robinson, former director of J2 Technology and now Head of IT at Claritel, said: “Joining Claritel is a fantastic opportunity for both our team and our clients. Together, we can offer a comprehensive range of services, and I’m excited to see where we can take the company next.”

Claritel said it will be business as usual for its existing clients, but they will now have access to the full spectrum of telecoms and IT services.

Jay added: “Our clients appreciate knowing who they’re dealing with when they call us. We partner with our clients to help them grow their businesses through the use of technology and communications. We are dedicated to being the go-to provider of telecoms and ITservice.”
