Cheadle Hulme-based language services provider, The Translation People, has completed its third acquisition in two years, for an undisclosed sum.

Dialogue Language Services International (DLSI) has joined forces with The Translation People. This follows on from the successful acquisition of Sure Languages in 2023.

Oxford-based DLSI will retain its original trading name as well as the entire translation team. The Translation People said it was attracted by DLSI’s national and international client base across growing sectors such as medical, telecoms and creative.

The training side of DLSI will continue to offer language and cultural training services under Dialogue Language Training.

Supported by investment from UK-based private equity firm, Mobeus, The Translation People is looking to complete further acquisitions in the UK and Europe.

Through acquisitions the business will bolster its international client roster and access to best-in-class localisation services.

Jasmin Schneider, Managing Director of The Translation People, said: “DLSI has demonstrated steady growth over the last few years and complements our existing offering. We are thrilled to welcome the DLSI team into the group and look forward to supporting their professional development. Together we can continue to support DLSI’s existing clients who will benefit from the larger infrastructure of the combined businesses.”

Cathy Branson, Managing Director at DLSI, said: “We are very excited to be joining forces with The Translation People. There is strong cultural alignment between us and both companies are equally focused on a commitment to quality and customer service.”

She added: “Joining a larger organisation will offer new resources, capabilities and technology to our clients and also provide new growth opportunities for our staff. Our clients can rest assured they will receive the same excellent service they are familiar with, plus numerous added advantages from having access to new resources.”
