No-win no-fee law firm files Notice of Intention to Appoint an Administrator

A Bolton-based law firm has filed a Notice of Intention to Appoint an Administrator.

Waring + Co Legal, which includes Waring + Co Solicitors, was incorporated in July, 2014, and is based at The Courtyard, in Calvin Street.

Its website describes the business as “one of the most successful no win, no fee solicitors in the UK”.

It says its staff have provided specialist advice, dealing with more than 50,000 cases, recovering millions of pounds in damages for clients, ranging from those who have suffered from work accidents, slips trips and falls, road traffic collisions or those subjected to serious medical negligence.

The firm covers a wide range of sectors, from accidents at work, to road traffic accident claims, medical negligence claims and criminal injuries, as well as dog or animal attacks, cosmetic surgery and slips and trips.

The latest accounts to be filed at Companies House, on September 26, 2024, cover the year to December 31, 2023, and reveal total assets, less current liabilities, of £1,092,790, which was compared with £1,682,436 the previous year.

During the last financial year the firm employed an average of nine staff, which was down on the 11 staff members in 2022.

Bank loans in 2023 stood at £357,591, down from £509,078 the previous year.

The accounts were signed off by director, Christopher Weir. In September this year Christopher Hutchinson, resigned as a director.
