Cheshire cosmetics company changes hands in management buyout

Mesoestetic team

A Knutsford-based medical cosmetics and aesthetics medicine supplier has completed a management buyout – with the aid of Logros Advisory Partners (LAP) – for an undisclosed sum.

Mesoestetic’s client base is focused on medical aesthetic and medical treatment clinics. It is the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for the Spanish manufacturer, mesoestetic Pharma, which is globally renowned, in particular for its depigmentation range.

Founded in 2007 by Adam Birtwistle, mesoestetic UK, began trading originally from home. Adam and his wife Sandra, who joined the business in 2008, now head a 25-strong team with a vision to become a leading distributor of professional and clinic based aesthetic products in the UK and Ireland.

The MBO, led by the company’s management team, ensures continuity and stability while paving the way for future growth.

Adam Birtwistle said: “Transitioning ownership through this MBO was a natural next step. The business has an amazing culture and a quality-driven ethos that Laura and Stephen are uniquely placed to continue.

“Thanks to Logros Advisory Partners for their exceptional support and for the collaborative efforts of all involved.”

Laura Platt, the new MD, said: ¨We are honoured by the trust placed in us by Adam and Sandra to lead mesoestetic UK into its next chapter.

“We are excited to build on the company’s strong foundation and drive its continued success.”

The mesoestetic team also extended its gratitude to Nick Lowe, from Bennett Verby, the company’s tax advisor, Jennifer Gallagher and the corporate team from Primas Law, representing the vendors, and Jim Truscott and the team from Beyond Corporate, assisting the new management team.

Brian Higgins, Managing Partner of Logros Advisory Partners, said: “Adam and Sandra have created a really wonderful business and a great place for its staff to provide outstanding service levels to clients.

“The successful completion of this MBO reflects the strength of collaboration and a shared vision among all parties. We look forward to witnessing mesoestetic UK flourish under its new ownership.”
