Trans-Pennine growth for law firm as it opens latest base

West Yorkshire-based law firm Holden Smith has reached across the Pennines by opening a new office in Manchester, as it expands operations to target further growth across the North West.
The firm’s new office – based at 111 Picadilly – will focus on growing its corporate and commercial offering and will be headed up by consultant, Neville Moore.
Moore will work alongside newly appointed commercial property executive, Colette Darlington and corporate solicitor Brittany Clarke, who will also be based in Manchester.
Holden Smith also has bases in Leeds, Elland, Horsforth, Huddersfield and Queensbury.

Moore said: “I have followed the firm’s journey and have been impressed with how it has developed in just under six years from start-up to a well-established firm with a turnover of £8.5m, and I’m pleased to join at such an exciting time to develop our corporate offer.”
Co-founder and director, James Smith, added: “Our corporate and commercial department has been hugely successful since our head of corporate and commercial, Rob Kelly, joined us a few years ago – and now we are keen to develop the team and department further by capitalising on and growing our business networks in and around Manchester.
“Manchester is an internationally recognised city, and one that we want Holden Smith to be a part of – and we couldn’t think of anyone better than Nev to help lead our growth there.
“With a law degree from Oxford and having trained at a Magic Circle firm, Nev is a highly accomplished corporate lawyer with an impressive track record delivering on complex transactional and advisory matters for clients, with a particular focus on corporate governance, private equity, and M&A.”
