Pre-seed funding awarded to hospitality app Aquaint

A tech business which has developed an app for hospitality businesses to help them with day-to-day management has received £200,000 of pre-seed funding to support further growth and development.

Manchester-based Aquaint has been awarded the funding by Praetura Ventures as part of its PraeSeed – a six-week cohort investing programme for early-stage businesses.

Jayden Patel, founder and CEO of Aquaint said the investment would fund further growth of the business: “As a business, Aquaint wants to empower everyone in the service industry to achieve more in less time. We know that hospitality businesses must regularly demonstrate how they are complying with regulations and keeping customers safe, but we want to enable them to focus on their actual trade by making some of the back-office activity easier.”

Aquaint is part of the NatWest Accelerator in Manchester, based in the bank’s building in Spinningfields in the city centre. It supports entrepreneurs through coaching and a programme of networking events.

Jayden Patel said: “The community and peer support through the programme have been invaluable. Working with like-minded people has made a huge difference to us.”

Libbie Mowbray, Entrepreneur Acceleration Manager at NatWest, said: “Our congratulations go to Jayden and the Aquaint team on the pre-seed funding. Jayden has been incredibly dedicated to honing his pitch and developing the skills he needs to develop the business further, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for him and Aquaint.”
