Landscaping duo extend operations with takeover of Cumbrian business

Hamilton’s Outdoor Living & Landscape Supplies, a Cumbrian landscaping business, has been acquired, for an undisclosed sum.

Amanda Ingram and Paul Moran, who operate their own landscaping business in Penrith, Hummingbird Garden Design and Bespoke Landscapes and Builds have been in the industry for 32 years and say the take over of Hamilton’s which premium landscaping materials, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and garden furniture and includes a 4,000 sq ft studio will enable them to  help landscapers, other designers.

Amanda, now co-owner of Hamilton’s Outdoor Living, said: “Having found my passion for gardens and landscapes, training and working as a garden designer has been a dream. I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge alongside Paul.

“We’ll now be helping landscapers, other designers, and individuals achieve and realise dream outdoor spaces.

“A well-designed and built outdoor space suited to your individual needs creates an extension of your home. We love being part of that creative journey.”

Co-owner, Paul Moran, said: “Landscaping has been a really rewarding career for me, building gardens for many happy clients. When the opportunity arose to extend my passion for landscaping by acquiring Hamilton’s Outdoor Living, I jumped at the opportunity.

“Providing a space where the industry can collaborate, learn and grow, and clients can come and view a range of products dedicated to outdoor living is fantastic and something I am proud to be a part of.”

The duo has worked on significant garden and landscaping projects for various clients, from expansive private gardens to education settings and commercial clients. They will continue to design and build offering the whole service and collaborating with others in the industry.

The new owners say they want to strengthen their relationships with local schools and colleges in the North to inspire and educate future landscape professionals, keeping the industry growing with new talent.

Outgoing owner and founder, Alan Hamilton, said he was happy to hand over the business to Amanda and Paul, adding: “I look forward to watching them grow, and I’m excited for their journey.

“It’s a fantastic industry, and clients want the best, they also want to deal with knowledgeable people who know how it all fits together, so having a design and build duo behind the business is the best outcome.”
