Rainmakers conference – the international opportunity

Delegates to Rainmakers on the 26th of March will hear how they can play a part in efforts to attract international businesses to the North.

The UK retains an important role in global trade and is still seen as a key international gateway, despite the impact of Brexit.

There remains fantastic opportunities, both for FDI and for overseas expansion from a UK base, which the outward-facing and internationally-networked corporate finance sector is ideally placed to facilitate.

Making the most of this potential will be crucial to the wider success of the UK’s nations and regions.

The session will include Alex Brookes-Sykes from Australian tech unicorn SafetyCulture, which has a major office in Manchester, and Mark Taylor, CEO of era Group, Mark is the CEO of ERA Group which is head quartered in the UK and has offices in over 60 countries globally.

Also speaking will be leading M&A lawyer Giles Chesher and Deborah Walker head of inward investment at MIDAS.
