Streetwear brand Red Run strikes global retail deal with JD Sports

Liverpool women’s activewear streetwear brand, Red Run, is expanding in a partnership with Bury-based sports and athleisurewear retailer, JD Sports.

The deal will see Red Run’s ranges stocked in JD sites across the UK and online globally.

Created by co-founders Megan Kimmance – also creative director – Abby Adderley and Joana Barbosa in 2020, Red Run Activewear has grown exponentially, with a flagship Liverpool One store as well as being stocked in Flannels across the UK and online globally.

But it’s the brand’s new partnership with JD that will see Red Run taken to new heights in 2025 to achieve further growth, it said, reaching new audiences and demographics.

From April 7, four new Red Run collections will be available in JD stores across the UK including Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin.

The four collections are made up of the womenswear’s Muse and Twin Flame and menswear’s Aqua Edge and Charcoal.

Twin Flame and Charcoal are exclusive to JD only and won’t be available anywhere else, whereas Muse and Aqua Edge will launch in Red Run’s Liverpool One store and online from April 17.

Red Run’s new spring/summer collections are designed in-house.

Each collection is designed for easy mix-and-match styling, allowing buyers to create complete, head-to-toe looks with ease.

Abby Adderley said: “Our latest partnership with JD is a fantastic step forward for Red Run.

“The team and I are so proud to have an opportunity to showcase our brand to JD’s audience nationwide.

“JD Sports is a high street powerhouse, their stores are spectacular and we believe our product is the perfect match for JD and its consumers.”

Megan Kimmance said: “The four collections have been meticulously designed and in the making for over 12 months and we’re eagerly anticipating the launch of Red Run in multiple stores across the UK, including four in our home town, Liverpool.

“Working with a household name such as JD is incredibly exciting for an independent brand like Red Run.

“Our growth to date has been incredible and we’re confident that this partnership with JD will be the catalyst for even further development of the brand.”
