Rossendale-based telecoms and mobile solutions provider, Matrix247, has been acquitted, for an undisclosed sum, by business technology provider, Focus Group.

Set up by Stephen Pritchard and Geoff Wright in 1991, Matrix247 has established itself as one of the largest owner-managed providers of telephone and communication systems in the UK, particularly within the legal services and education sectors.

Its omni-channel contact centre solutions align perfectly with Focus Group’s expertise, strengthened further by its recent investment in Make.Contact, which specialises in Puzzel technologies.

Focus Group is based in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.

For Matrix247, the acquisition provides significant opportunities for growth and enhanced service delivery.

CEO, Stephen Pritchard, said: “Joining forces with Focus Group is an exciting step forward for Matrix247.

“It’s clear we share a like-minded vision, and this partnership enables us to leverage the combined strengths of Matrix 247’s and Focus Group’s proficiency in comms, IT and cyber security.

“Their scale, expertise, and investment will enable us to build upon the fantastic work our team has already achieved, further enhancing our solutions for our customers while maintaining the exceptional service we are known for.”

Neil Hall, CEO at Focus Group said: “We’re thrilled to welcome the Matrix247 team on board.

“The team’s technical and service capabilities have resulted in an excellent rate of growth for the business, and they have an enviable ability to attract and convert new customers, while confidently delivering and supporting new implementations.

“We’re eager to continue building upon this success and the partnership will further enhance our CCaaS and Managed IT offering for the wider group.”

Matrix247 will continue to operate under its respective brand name in the immediate term, with integration plans to be announced in due course.
