Castore snaps up 160-year-old shoemaker Grenson in surprise takeover

Historic Northamptonshire shoemaker Grenson has been taken over by sportswear brand Castore, handing control of one of Britain's oldest footwear manufacturers to a business founded just 11 years ago.

Corporate filings show Castore, through its corporate vehicle J Sporting Club, has acquired a controlling interest in Grenson. The move also sees owner Tim Little and his wife Julia Little step down from the board.
