Marketing agency BDB triumphs in trade awards

SOUTH Manchester business-to-business marketing agency Barrett Dixon Bell has won an award for international trade.
The Hale Barns-based firm works with UK and international-based businesses and helps support their export efforts.
The North West International Trade Award, sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking and law firm Eversheds, is BDB’s second major coup in recent months, having received the Queen’s Award for Export this year.
BDB has a number of multi-lingual staff among its 32-strong team.
Managing director Olivia Kehoe told TheBusinessDesk.com “Our focus on supporting others to export and succeed in international markets is a big point of difference for us.
“It has helped us continue to grow in a really tough climate. This award is about more than just us: as exporters who help others export, we would not be here accepting this award without the success of our clients.”
Chris Sharkey, regional director, at Santander Corporate Banking said: “The UK remains an extremely strong trading nation and it is beyond doubt that companies need both recognition and support to help grow their businesses internationally.
“The innovation, flexibility and sheer tenacity of UK business during difficult times has never ceased to amaze me and the calibre of the applicants goes to reflect this.”
Eversheds’ commercial partner Tom Bridgford added: “These awards are an excellent showcase of local talent and we are delighted to be working in partnership with Santander to reward businesses who have excelled in this area”.
BDB, which in the year to May had a turnover of £3.7m, will now represent the North West in national finals in November.
