The Breakthrough of the Year Award category is for businesses whose growth turned on a single defining moment — a product launch, a new model, a pivot that changed everything.
We’re looking for the insight behind the breakthrough and the commercial impact that followed.
Entries should tell us:
What was the breakthrough, and where did it come from?
What did the business have to do differently to make it happen?
What was the commercial impact, and how quickly did it materialise?
What did it open up that wasn’t possible before?

category is one of 12 awards in the new North West Growth Awards, which celebrate the companies, teams and individuals driving business growth across the region.
The awards span three strands – Company, Team and Individual – with categories recognising everything from finance, technology, people and board excellence.
An overall Growth Business of the Year will be chosen from the category winners.
