Plans have been submitted to improve crowd-handling facilities at Liverpool’s Sandhills rail station. The station is close to Everton’s 51,769-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium, which officially opened a year ago. Fans have been critical of the crowd-handling arrangements which regularly involve long queues for access to the station.
