Approval recommended for increased crowd-handling facilities at Sandhills station
Plans have been submitted to improve crowd-handling facilities at Liverpool’s Sandhills rail station.
The station is close to Everton’s 51,769-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium, which officially opened a year ago.
Fans have been critical of the crowd-handling arrangements which regularly involve long queues for access to the station.
Now, transport authority Merseytravel has submitted proposals to next week’s Liverpool City Council Planning Committee (August 25), which are recommended for approval, with conditions.
