Contractor Krol Corlett completes £3.3m refurb of Carlisle Library

Contractor Krol Corlett has completed the £3.3m refurbishment of Carlisle Library in The Lanes shopping centre and handed the finished building back to Cumberland Council.

The ‘highly technical’ 50-week project included a complete overhaul of the building’s mechanical and electrical infrastructure and the creation of new classrooms, a children’s library, new ‘lab spaces’ for history and creative zones and a new digital hub for users – all while the library continued to function.
