Juice FM invests £1.1m in Liverpool One move

LIVERPOOL radio station 107.6 Juice FM is investing £1.1m in moving its broadcast operation to One Park West in Liverpool One.

Moving from its existing 3,000 sq ft at Fleet St, Juice’s new One Park West premises will provide 5,500 sq ft and include a performance area as well as on air studios that face directly onto the Strand overlooking the Liverpool waterfront.

The station, owned by UTV Media, has more than 193,000 listeners each week and it said the move is a reflection of its “extraordinary growth” over the past two years.

Graham Sarath, Juice FM station director, said: “These are exiting times for Juice. We’ve increased the audience significantly in recent years and this move signals our intention to push on even further.

“One Park West at Liverpool One is at the heart of ‘new’ Liverpool and it truly reflects Juice as a brand. To be part of the world famous waterfront is a real privilege which we want our listeners and clients to enjoy with us.”

Guy Butler, projects director at Grosvenor, which owns Liverpool One, said: “One Park West is already home to 326 apartments, a 24 hour gym, restaurants and now the best radio station in town! Juice FM fits perfectly and we look forward to getting them here as soon as possible.”

The move will be completed by January 2012, when Juice will host a series of events to mark the launch of its new premises.
