Cheshire business expo gets under way

MORE than 1,000 people were gathering at Chester Racecourse for the inaugural Celebrate Cheshire event – a two-day drive to put the county on the business map.
Crewe-based Bentley Motors, a major sponsor, is showcasing its latest model the Continental GT, while lender NatWest is launching a new business advice bus too.
Organised by Marketing Cheshire, the not-for-profit event is supported by both Cheshire local authorities, Warrington Borough Council and Cheshire Business Leaders.
The aim of Celebrate Cheshire is to highlight why the Cheshire is a great place to live, work and do business.
HRH the Duke of Kent is opening the event this morning. More than 60 Cheshire-based businesses are showcasing their products and services , including Pochin, Peel Group, Cheshire Oaks, Grosvenor and M&S Money.
Several thousands people are expected tomorrow as the theme becomes less business and more consumer-focused.
Marketing Cheshire director Barrie Kelly said: “This is an unprecedented event that will act as a catalyst for investment and growth, regeneration, enterprise and development.
“It will show off the best of our enterprise and business – and the attractive investment opportunities that exist here.”
