Warwick Ley to leave Endless

WARWICK Ley, the North West head of turnaround investment firm Endless, is to leave the business, it emerged today.

Australian Ley, 39, who was promoted to partner at the Leeds-based firm in 2009, is leaving at the end of this week. He has been with Endless since its launch, six  years ago and worked with its founder Garry Wilson for a further eight years.

He will be replaced by Endless partner Darren Forshaw, who will assume responsibility for both Manchester and Birmingham.

In a statement Endless said: “We will be further bolstering our presence in these regions and will be making announcements regarding this during the next few weeks.”

Ley’s stand-out investment during his time with Endless was Darwen-based Crown Paints, which was bought from Akzo Nobel in 2008 and sold to Danish coatings supplier Hempel in June for around £100m.

He launched the North West version of Endless’ St Nicks Turnaround Awards in 2010, and the event this year attracted more than 250 accountants, lawyers, bankers and other professionals.
