Chester jewellery designer plans expansion

JEWELLERY designer Chloe Moss is gearing up for national expansion of her ChloBo brand.

Moss founded ChloBo eight years ago and the collection is now stocked by more than 40 retailers, the majority of which are based in the north.

The Chester-based business employs 16 people and this figure is due to grow as the company expands and demand for the collection increases – ChloBo is now expanding in other parts of the country, having recently added new stockists in Brighton and Norfolk.

Moss said: “It’s a really exciting time for everyone connected to the business as the number of jewellers and fashion boutiques which stock the ChloBo range continues to grow.”

Moss began designing her range of silver jewellery after being inspired on a trip to Bali. Her designs have attracted a celebrity fan base with the likes of Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney pictured wearing her jewellery.

Raw materials are sourced from the Far East prior to designing and manufacturing the jewellery at the main ChloBo studio in Hoole.

NatWest’s business banking team in Chester provided ChloBo with a £150,000 working capital facility to help cover the costs of producing additional stock.

Hugh Downer, NatWest relationship manager said: “Chloe has built a successful business in a highly competitive market sector. She has a clear vision for the future of the ChloBo brand and we are delighted to provide financial support for her plans.”
