Drivers Jonas Deloitte launches

DRIVERS Jonas Deloitte launched today following the completion of a deal that sees more than 650 Drivers Jonas partners and employees join Deloitte.

The acquisition, which was announced in January, will see the newly named business continue with existing Driver Jonas contracts, such as advising on the new £36m Chetham’s School of Music buildings and the redevelopment of Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

In addition, DJD is adviser to Manchester Airport Developments on the strategy for Airport City, and to Peel Energy on its Mersey tidal power project.

Patrick Loftus, North West practice senior partner at Deloitte, said: “We see a big opportunity for Drivers Jonas Deloitte to add value to our clients. We will connect the financial, tax and business insights of Deloitte with our comprehensive suite of real estate solutions to help our clients address their business and property opportunities and challenges.”

John Adams, partner and head of the Manchester office of Drivers Jonas Deloitte, said: “In working with Patrick Loftus and his team to bring our two businesses together, it has already become clear what enormous potential there is for our combined advisory services in the North West.

“Our firm will provide a unique offering in the marketplace and we are all eager to begin working with our new colleagues to identify further synergies across the region.”

In November, Drivers Jonas announced it had hit a record turnover of £95.7m in the UK, with profits of £21m.
