DBF launches healthcare division

MANCHESTER-based law firm Davis Blank Furniss has launched a new department aimed at providing legal advice to the healthcare sector.

The department will be headed by partner Sonio Singh, who joined Davis Blank Furniss a year ago. He will work lawyers across the firm’s corporate, property and employment departments to provide advice on everything from acquisitions, restructuring and employment law. The practice will target GP surgeries and partnerships, pharmacies, dental practices, care homes and childcare operators.

Mr Singh said: “As a business we have the credentials and experience to really understand what the healthcare sector actually needs in what is an exciting and interesting period in this industry.

“So, formalising this new offering seems a natural extension of what we already do.”
