Appointments: Handforth joins Styles & Wood: George Davies and Hill Dickinson boost partnerships

SYTLE & Wood – the listed shop fit-out and refurbishment specialist – has appointed Neal Handforth as service and development director.

The AIM-listed Altrincham-based company said Mr Handforth, formerly a business development director at Balfour Beatty Construction, will spearheading its drive into new sectors including office, leisure and the public sector, as well as adding significant value in existing sectors.

He will work closely with chief executive, Ivan McKeever, on new and existing business opportunities.

Mr McKeever said: “Throughout his career, Neal has consistently shown an exceptional ability in developing excellent relationships and engendering a strong customer service ethos amongst all employees.”

MANCHESTER law firm George Davies has promoted employment specialist Sara Barrett and corporate lawyer Chris Ross to partner.

Residential property specialist Zara Banday and public sector lawyer Jennifer Lewis have both been promoted to become associates.

The promotions, which will take effect from May 1, will see the number of partners at George Davies increase to 16 and the number of associates to nine.

LAW firm Hill Dickinson has promoted five of its associates to partners and one associate to legal director.

In Liverpool, employment associate, Adrian Fryer and health associate, Emma Di Giacomo have been promoted, along with insurance associate, Jamie Taylor, who will become legal director.

In Manchester, Fleur Rochester, associate in professional risk, health associate, Rebecca Fitzpatrick and company and commercial associate, Shelley Thomas will also be promoted.
