Seddon wins £10m maintenance deal

SEDDON Property Services, part of the family-owned Seddon Group, has won a £10m maintenance contract from Riverside Housing Group.

Under the terms of the deal, Holmes Chapel-based Seddon will provide responsive maintenance services for over 5,000 homes in the Midlands across Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.  

It will also provide responsive maintenance for other properties managed by Liverpool-based Riverside, including housing at RAF Cosford in Telford and residential and office accommodation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The contract is for five years initially, with the option to extend for a further five years. Riverside involved its own tenants and residents in the selection process by helping to mark Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and assessing performance and service levels of contractors who tendered for the work.

Phil Davison, Riverside Midlands assistant director of property services,said: “Seddon has been through a rigorous procurement process to be selected.
“We look forward to the next five years working with Seddon to deliver the responsive repairs service to Riverside in the Midlands.”
