Appointments: Bell joins MCR as partner; Bridge’s new sales chief, Key hire for Citypress & more

INSOLVENCY specialist Sarah Bell as joined restructuring firm MCR as a partner in its Manchester office.
Ms Bell, formerly a partner at Begbies Traynor in Preston, has more than 20 years experience of advising companies and financial institutions in corporate recovery and restructuring.
Andrew Stoneman, senior partner, MCR, stated: “Sarah is bringing with her some truly exceptional experience having managed a large number of formal insolvency appointments with particular focus on construction/contracting, motor dealerships and manufacturing for all of the major clearing banks. This experience will enable MCR to extend its market focus still further.”

INDEPENDENT Manchester insurance broker Bridge has promoted Daniel Stockley as head of sales.
Mr Stockley joined the company as a business development executive in 2008.

MANCHESTER PR agency Citypress has added to its finance practice with the appointment of Alex Barnett as account director.
Alex joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he was media relations manager specialising in personal finance products, supporting brands such as Halifax, Lloyds TSB and Bank of Scotland.
Citypress MD Charles Tattersall, said: “We’re seeing consistent growth across the agency and particularly within our finance practice. Alex is an important addition to our expanding team as we extend our offering into the personal finance sector.”

MARKETING agency GyroHSR has appointed Warren Drumm as head of digital strategy in its Salford Quays office.
Mr Drumm, who will lead the firm’s digital team, joins from Magnetic North where he worked with Kellogg’s and Special K across 17 European markets.
He said: “I was struck by the high quality of work that is carried out by the office, and wanted to be a part of that – it was also a priority for me to remain in the hub of what I believe is going to be the UK’s media and digital capital in the coming years.”
