Brooks Macdonald toasts NW success with office move

THE North West office of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management, the private client investment manager, celebrated its move to new offices in Manchester last night.

The firm, which is part of AIM-listed specialist wealth management group Brooks Macdonald, has taken 3,129sq ft on the 10th floor at No1 Marsden Street.

Having opened its doors in mid 2007 with just three staff, a steady growth in client funds under management has driven expansion of the team to 13.

Andrew Shepherd, joint managing director of BMAM said: “The Manchester office, led by Claire Bennison, has grown rapidly and we have been fortunate to retain the loyalty of our existing professional introducers as well as add new relationships.

“Our team has grown to ensure we maintain our service levels and the new offices give us further room for expansion.”

Nick Holmes, the firm’s other joint MD, added: “We have been extremely well supported by the professional advisers in the North West, and look forward to serving them and their clients for many years to come.”

Regional director Claire Bennison, who launched the North West office on King Street in 2007, added: “Manchester has been a very important business centre for us and we believe the new offices reinforce the brand experience that clients and our introducers expect.

“We look forward to a long and successful future in the centre of Manchester as we continue to grow the business.”

Last year Brooks Macdonald Group acquired property investment fund Braemar, which employs around 50, the majority based in Hale.
