Goals begins work on £2.5m Chester blueprint

GOALS Soccer Centres has begun work on the creation of its new £2.5m football facility in Chester.
The facility will use a new modular building system developed by Goals, which told the stockmarket back in September that it could eventually lead to savings of of around £700,000 per venue in build costs.
The facility on Chester Commerce Park is off Bumpers Lane, next to Chester Football Club. It will contain 10 all weather synthetic grass football arenas with associated refreshment areas, changing pavillion and parking. The floodlit arenas, each named after a world famous stadium, will be available for play daily from 9.00 am to 11.00 pm.
Charles Shepherd, director of site owner Barlows, said: “The arrival of Goals Soccer Centres to Chester Commerce Park is a major boost to the local area, as well as to the scheme providing a much needed leisure facility as well as a boost to the local economy.
“We very much hope that in the future other companies will wish to locate their businesses to Chester Commerce Park which is now an emerging leisure destination.”
The Goals Soccer Centre is likely to open in March. Retained agents for Chester Commerce Park are Legat Owen, Bolton Birch and Hindley Lawrence.
