RSM Tenon moves up to the Full List

THE regional head at accountancy firm RSM Tenon has hailed the group’s elevation to the Full List of the Stock Market and said the integration of Tenon with RSM Bentley Jennison was progressing well.
Martin Kirby said the 500-strong North West practice was in “good shape and well balanced.”
He said the move up from AIM was more than symbolic: “It will add to our profile and I think it says too that we have matured as a business. It sets us apart too, we’ve come from nowhere in 2000 to be the seventh-largest firm in the UK.
“This says a lot about our people and quality of advice. It is recognition we have grown up.”
He said there had been a “limited number” of redundancies as a result of the combination of the two firms.
“I can’t say it’s not significant as every job loss is significant to the person affected. But it’s not a material number when you look at the overall practice.”
He said the firm was looking to acquire in Liverpool as it does not have a presence there, but is strong in Manchester and Preston.
