AYO says hello to Manchester

A DIGITAL business based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is expanding into the North West by opening a Manchester office.
Web development firm AYO Media will initially employ 2-3 people when it opens at Tariff St in Manchester’s Northern Quarter next year but said it eventually hopes to bring numbers closer to the 13 it employs at its North East headquarters, depending on its success.
The company, which was is run by directors Rob Mathieson, Tony Olanipekun and Kevin Reece, said that it had doubled in size over the past 12 months and that it had won a number of North West accounts for the likes of iMoney Group, HS Sports and the The National BMX Centre.
Managing director Rob Mathieson said: “Manchester continues to thrive as the creative capital of the UK and it’s vital that we have a presence in this region if we want to meet our commercial objectives.
“The area we are opening our new office is one renowned for its creative talent and vibrant new media scene. We hope to have the site up and running by the New Year, which will not only allow us to better service our clients in Manchester but also provide a foundation to secure more business in the region.”
