Mitchell Charlesworth takes on corporate finance firm

LIVERPOOL-based accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has taken on Liverpool Science Park-based Vanguard Corporate Finance and merged it with its own corporate finance arm.

A new company containing Vanguard’s four employees known as MC Vanguard Corporate Finance will now begin operating from Mitchell Charlesworth’s five regional offices.

Vanguard’s founder Brian McCann will join Mitchell Charlesworth as a partner, while Robin Gower and Jean Hughes will be corporate finance managers and Duncan McCann will work as an assitant.

Mitchell Charlesworth chairman Clive Plummer said: “This is a hugely exciting new venture which will thrust Mitchell Charlesworth further into the corporate finance market.

“Brian and the Vanguard team are bringing a wealth of contacts and a huge amount of experience and expertise to Mitchell Charlesworth and we are already working on a number of exciting deals together.”

Vanguard was set up at Liverpool Science Park four years ago.
